Crap laptop with shity fan.

Construction site next to my apartment. Lots of noises of trucks and tractor clearing dirt and debris after taking down a building for a complete rebuild. Recorded with zoom h5 internal x-y mics.

Recording of a plastic grid which resembles plastic sounding gears. Recorded and processed at 24bit 96khz using the tascam dr-40 linear pcm recorder. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

Me walking from the trail into the fiesch ski resort in the swiss alps. Starts calm with footsteps on snow and then when i walk into the the ski resort you hear voices in multiple languages, ski and snowboard noises and mechanical noises from the ski lifts.

A weird spinning thing with a high pitched sound. Including a wooden door opening.

Stereo-recording at home from my external hard-disk drive, turning as it is working on a large file, steady with only few variations. Slightly processed.

A couple of deliciously vintage adding & accounting machines. This is the sound of early modern bookkeeping at its finest. Use these mechanical sounds for anything from generic machine noises, to full on steam punk contraptions, or better yet, in some heartbreaking, robot style beats. Typing (real words!) on a kinesis advantage keyboard with cherry mx brown mechanical switches. Recorded at my desk with rode procaster, triton fethead, focusrite scarlett 2i2 into audacity. Untreated room (hence dynamic mic) but noise remoived with audacity. I needed this for my own purposes so i thought i'd upload it. I hope someone finds it useful :).

Timex analog office clock, front perspective, muted ticks. Recorded in mono 44. 1/16 from an earthworks sr69 into a zoom h4n, trimmed with a bit of gain boost and a bit of noise filtering eq.

This is a very lowfi recording of a xerox workcentre 7345 actually performing a copy of a single page. Includes a button beep at the start, fan noise, servo motor sounds, paper sorter moving sounds and lots of other mechanics being moved around. You really get an idea how complicated these modern machines are. . :). The bitrate is only 13 kbit/s and the resulting audio quality not very good, but the file size is really small. Maybe audio level needs normalizing, though.

Cold booting a computer built inside of a milk crate, allowing it to start up and start running a stress test, and then hard shutting it down by flicking the power supply switch. Multiple computers were running in this room and this recording is unedited, so there's some extra background noise. Sorry.

Amazing screeching sound made by my friend's dishwasher. Sounds like a horrible metal demon thing screaming or something. One of those sounds that the imagination runs wild with, so i wanted to share.

A broken fridge at a place i work sometimes. Starts off sounding normal enough but then slowly starts going crazy, i'm no refrigeration expert but i'm pretty sure there's something wrong here. Made me jump when it makes that first noise :p.

Old epson printer trying to print something on a sheet of paper. The ink was completely dry, that's why the sound may vary a little bit from a "standard" unit. Delicate noise reduction performed.

Workers working on a street in porto, portugal. The workers open the street and used a digger. One guy used a shuffle. Recorded with zoom h1 and cut with adobe premier.

Loop-able. Constant buzz from a slightly broken water pump on a small water feature. Recorded from multiple areas of the fountain. Running water can be heard in the background. Recorded on a zoom h4n recorder.

Recorded the noise coming from a "soda stream" appliance. Basically a machine that carbonates water and mixes various syrups together to create homemade soda.

Power on, spin up and head-alignment procedure of a micropolis 3243s 4gb 3. 5" scsi2 7200 rpm hard-disk-drive from the 1990s.

I spend hours tweaking and processing my sounds so it would be really nice if you can give me some feedback.

Angry guts. Featuring some really quiet sound from my mechanical keyboard in the background. Was hoping that wouldn't be picked up. . . Recorded with a google pixel xl, as its bottom-facing (mono) microphone is perfect for this. No noise reduction.

An exercise thing which you squeeze that makes a loud creaking noise, sounds interesting pitched down. Recorded with a mid-sides mic setup. Mics used were akg 414, and an oktava mk-012-01 pencil condenser.

Sound of a rubik's cube (you know, this mechanical puzzle). Needed it for a project. Couldn't find the sound anywhere. So i recorded it. Feel free to use it. No need for any kind of attribution. Recorded on with a neat king bee microphone and a tascam dr60-d mkii recorder.

Dark growling drone sound i made on a my behringer model d analog synthesizer, recorded with effects in ableton live. Some processing was done later in adobe audition to finalize it.

This is full sequence of music-box in tea can with screweing up(?) until full stop. It's gift-set of tin box with tea and onboard music box. First i'm winding up music box, put box on the table, then it plays until full stop. This audio recorded with sony mobile communications audio recorder (android) on nexus 4 in pcm wav. Then it was slightly edited with audacity - tiny noise reduction and equalisation (boost frequencies below ~400 hz, lowered frequencies higher than ~2500 hz).

Just some noise of my casio as-51r cassette player i had left over when i had taken what i was after from my recordings. Perhaps there's some use for it, i honestly don't know, but i thought i would upload in case someone needs it. Recorded with a samsung galaxy s21, edited with audacity 2. 4. 2.

Glitchy robot scream, made for a game with robot enemies. I made it by using audacity's "import raw data" function to import random program files which creates all kinds of crazy noises. (all the sounds in this pack came from the files of an emulated ps2 game. ) i then put a vocoder on the sounds i found to make them sound even more robotic.

I like the sound of the failure of some electric devices, so i made a new pack only for those sounds. This is a piano melody, but i added a effect named laundry chorus of live 9. The melody is unrecognizable but the sound is awesome. Enjoy it!.

A recording of my grandfather's old pendulum wall clock, made in about 1926. The mechanism is worn and ticks unevenly, with occasional clunks from damaged cogwheel teeth. Recorded from inside the case, it is entirely unedited so contains slight ambient noise.

I made it using modbox. It possibly could be good for a video theme or something like that. Though it sounds a lot like my other ones. :).

Sci-fi mechanical atmosrecorded from a circuit bent randomly modified casio ctk811 via the line out into a spirit folio mixer and m300 tc electronics processor and recorded at 24bit/96khz on a tascam dr60mk2. Edited and normalised in sound forge 13.

This is a sound of a pepsi bottle being opened. I guess the strange skin-twisting sounds was the skin on the hands that where holding the bottle and the bottle-cap while twisting. This made for an amazing futuristic machinery sound.

It's a recording of a walkman playing a compact cassete (shut in a drawer for acoustic isolation). It's there, just really quiet. The recording is raw (unprocessed). You can hear the motor working as the tape plays, and then it buzzing as the tape finished. Recorded with zoom h2. Edited and normalized with audacity.
